Short and Sweet

This won't be long because the Celtics don't deserve it after that game. They lost big to a shitty New Orleans team. Is it because it was their 3rd game in 4 nights? Maybe, but still no excuse. The Celtics are missing Pierce out there and it is showing. A complete lack of offense and production from the starters..cough cough KG cough needs to change starting at the home opener on Friday against Detroit.
The one positive from the game tonight, before I turned it off, was big Greg Stiemsma and his 6 block 4 rebound performance. He was a big presence when he was in and I think that you may see him more in the next few games. Especially if the refs keep putting J O'Neal in foul trouble.
The refs were just as bad tonight and that's all I'm going to say. They all need to get their shit together. The NBA has a serious problem on their hands. Oh yeah and Doc said wel looked old tonight! He was right folks don't flip out at the screen or at me. They were sluggish and were not running the floor. KG only had  8 points and 7 rebounds!
Going off of that I'm worried about KG. He isn't putting up solid numbers and he truly is playing "old" basketball. He isn't a low post threat and he has been leveled down to his 15 foot jump shot (not that it doesn't work). If the Celtics look to stay relevant this season I believe KG needs to look for his shot and be more aggressive again. He needs to re-kindle some Minnesota swag and get back to being the big ticket. KG needs to step it up quickly!

Rondo: 13pts, 6 assists, and 1 steal

P.S. Pierce is looking like he is going to play against Detroit. May not play his normal minutes, but some is better than no Pierce at all.

Well...Not That Bad For A Loss

So, that was a joke. The refs have now screwed the Celtics from two wins now (Agreed with by Jesse Bannister). Look, the Celtics didn't lose that badly considering what they were playing through: NO Pierce, TERRIBLE refs, and Sasha Pavlovic playing. Ray Allen had a spectacular game going 28-4 and 3. (Assists then rebounds) He went 8-12 while being 6-8 from downtown. Ray is what kept the celtics in the game until the 4th quarter when the C's made a run.
Yeah KG, I think it's become a laughing matter too!
This was probably the best loss I have ever seen. I don't think I could be more proud of a loss. If it wasn't for Rookie Norris Cole with 20 HUGE points off the bench..especially three big jumpers at the end...the C's probably could've finished the comeback. (Sorry for the lacking of flow, I'm just kind of annoyed with the refs)
Most people will say the refs shouldn't matter and that the players lost the game. That may be true but the NBA has a pretty good case against that tonight in Miami. Look, the Celtics played terrible in the beginning. BUT, when the free throw difference is 15 attempts to 3 after one quarter, where both teams were driving and getting hacked at, there is something wrong. I'm not going to sit here and rant (more than I already have) but clearly the lockout fixed nothing! ANDDDD, we all no Lebron wand Wade will never foul out of a game....ever! David Stern would never allow it.
Anyway, I think I've said enough, and well the Heat don't deserve me to talk about them except for Cole stepping it up big time. So overall picture from the game. This shows that it's there for the C's, they just need more time with the bench (Fucking Lockout). They have the team that can pull it together and the first two games, even tough losses, show this a lot to me. They are going to surprise people. I expect the Celtics to make a decent push with this team (Pietrus included). Even if it takes time and they get in the playoffs as a 4 or 5 seed. They still avoid the Heat and Bulls for the first round and can go make a run with the momentum they will have. They are not favorites by any means, but just don't count them out yet. STAY TUNED!

P.S. Rondo's stat line: 22 points 12 assists and 8 rebounds. Another RONDOGASM type game! Oh and to Jesse...Rondo will stay aggressive when Paul comes back...thats a sure thing. He knows better now that he is the engine and needs to run and get to the line.

Can the Celtics Splash the Simmering Heat?

"Now, Celtics-Heat? Yeah, that's got the "R" word written all over it." (RedsArmy.com)

The Celtics and Heat are Rivals...no matter the argument.

The celtics take on their rivals Miami Heat tonight in a playoff rematch from last season. They look for a little payback since being knocked out of the postseason in embarrassing fashion by the Heat. I believe that the Celtics can win tonight (unlike most media), but it's going to be hard. There are three things that the C's need to do in order to win this game tonight. If they don't, they are going to get run off the floor.
First, they need to keep the Heat from making this a track meet. The Heat have the best full court break in the league with Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. If they start running, this game will be over quick. The C's need to get into a half court rhythm and slow the tempo of the game down. Yes, they need the fast break, but if they start running back and forth all game, their old legs will eventually be left in the back court. So key number one is play a good half court style game, and make it a defensive battle.
Second, Rondo needs to stay agressive like on Christmas Day. With the big 3 aging, and Pierce out, Rondo is now the engine of this team. He needs to take his shot when it's there and keep his team involved at the same time. He can be a one man fast break, and he'll need to do that sometimes when the older guys are on the floor with him.
The third thing is turn LeBitch (Lebron) into a jump shooter. He can get to the hole better than anyone in the league, and once he beats you, there is no stopping him. The C's are going to need to play a team defense to stay in front of him and force him into awkward shots. Same thing goes for Wade. He is the best slasher in the game (Wade) and with Lebron by his side, he can be nearly unstoppable. I'd be happy if Bosh does some scoring that means the other 2 aren't; and let's face it, Bosh just isn't a superstar. He looks like an alien and has a decent post game. Bosh is a role player and a supporting act for the two real stars of South Beach.

So overall, I actually do have the Heat winning this game. I hope I'm wrong, but unless the Celtics play a flawless game, it's not going to happen. The Heat are practically the same team from last year and already have chemistry. They started out strong on Christmas and looked untouchable. Where as the Celtics have a lot of new faces and with the short pre-season, are now still trying to find that gel-like chemistry (Also Pierce being out does not help). I think the Heat win 108-95, and the Celtics are winded after what is looking to become a track meet sprint to the finish.

RONDOGASM!...But Still Came Up Short

Rondo just resting up
(From when he was elbowed in the head by Chandler)

So the lockout didn't fix anything....including Joey Crawford's damn ego. He's still all about making everyone focus on him.

Regardless of the terrible officiating, the reality is the celtics did lose today by two to the Knicks. According to most "experts" this game proves that the Knicks are better and will win the Atlantic Division.  I say that's crap. I think that there were a lot of positives to take from this game: Rondo and his aggression, the second half defense, and the play of Brandon Bass is my main focus.
Rondo's stat line was 31 points, 13 assists and 5 steals. Rondo had his normal high assist game, including a mind-blowing pass left from half court. My big plus for him today, however, is the fact that he was aggressive and took his shot when it was open; and made it. Yes, most of his points were lay-ups and free-throws, but his jump shot looked smooth and clean when he took it (Rondo was 11-19 from the field). In the entire first half, he was a one man team as he was doing everything from stealing to scoring.
Besides Rondo making us all RONDOGASM (yes new word), the C's truly stepped up their defense to another level in the second half. The Knicks scored 62 points in the first half, then only to score 44 in the second (only 17 in the third quarter). I consider this to be because of KG and O'Neal. Yes, Jermaine actually made an impact. He was swatting the ball everywhere and getting the right spot in transition. Unlike his usual lard self, he moved well and looked healthy.
Now, the Celtics went fishin' in the shortened training camp, and did they score a big one. Bass finished today's game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Bass did it all and his hustle was tremendous. In the third quarter run that the C's had, Bass was a big part of the scoring and defensive push. I feel that Bass is going to include this type of performance throughout the season and that trade is going to pay off (Big Baby didn't even start today!).
Another thing I wanted to touch on was the Paul Pierce situation. In my opinion, if Pierce plays, then the C's win this game no problem. Think about it. If Pierce plays, he's playing Defense on Melo, not Marquis (who did have a solid day). That would put more pressure on Melo and probably take some points off the stat sheet. If he plays, he takes that shot at the end from the corner for the win, not Marquis.
I have no disrespect for Daniels, but he is not a pressure situation player. He doesn't have the experience late in games like Pierce. Pierce has ice in his veins, all he does is knock down those shots. He buit a complete career around it. Having this all thought and said, Doc still puts it on the players on the floor, and quietly on the refs:

“Fourth-quarter technicals on our team are not allowed,’’ Rivers said. “That being said, the game has to be about the players. All right? I mean, c’mon. I thought both teams were complaining just the same, and we got the two techs. The game has to be about the players on the floor. That’s it.”

This just speaks it all, Doc was not happy with the game...and the refs? Also SHAQ had a few things to say via twitter about Joey Crawford's "performance."

Right? THIS IS WHY I LOVE SHAQ!

Oh here is Rondo's pass I was talking about....RONDOGASM!

Another Chance

Jeff Green has re-signed with the Celtics for a one year deal! No it's not that multi-year deal that everyone expected...considering he has pressure to replace Paul. For now, he's in green...let's see what happens.

On a side note, the C's only watched film today because they only had nine players (including Tyronn Lue).

Lay Down The LAW David Stern

Just saw this today and thought I'd post this!

UPDATE: Chris Paul could still end up in LA...working out the deal so the league won't reject it.
Possibly could include Bynum so Lakers couldn't go after Howard...WHO could be going to NJ/Brooklyn anyway...updates on both to come!

The C's Went Fishin'

This excitement will intensify playing with KG

The Celtics went fishing and came back with a 6' 8'', 250 pound Bass..

Big Baby has been traded to Orlando FOR.....BRANDON BASS...not very exciting but still good.

I like this trade because, even though it's pretty much identical players, both will benefit from new scenes. Bass has not played to his potential and things have not worked out for him in Orlando. However, under the right system, aka DOC, he will re flourish and become the player he can be.

Dutt acknowledges that replacing Davis won't be easy. But Bass, he says, is more than up to the challenge

Bass says that he is embracing being a celtic and can't wait for the opportunity. He knows that Davis had a big role here and that he has to live up to expectations. He is excited to come in and learn from the big 3...especially KG.

Baby signed for $26 million to average about double what he was making here. Hope a change of scenery makes him earn that. Davis had a good run in Boston, but his time had drawn to an end. The baby era is over...it's time to do some fishin'!

Well Now this is Awkward...

Lamar Odam when he thought he was going to be traded

First, CP3 was going to the Lakers, Pau to Houston and Lamar to New Orleans. It was even texted out by ESPN..Yeah that official. Then about an hour later...right after I witnessed the crushing Bruins loss, the league pulled back the trade for "basketball reasons." Again, ESPN texted it out. Confused yet? It's okay so is the rest of the damn country. It all happened so fast some of you probably slept through Paul's career as a laker.
But, now what? If the trade doesn't get re-worked or anything, then all three players go back to their respective teams. Lamar was upset the most over this, even tweeting "Wow! Talk 2 me people. I couldn't even get the phone call." and "When a team trades u and it doesn't go down? Now what?" He is right, now what? It's going to be an awkward situation.
Anyway, do why did the league back off the trade? I have two theories:

1. Since the league owns the Hornets, they pulled the plug because they didn't want people to see that they were trying to make LA better. (More conspiracy than anything)

2. They pulled the plug because they were pressured by the owners to not let it go through...this is my personal favorite.

According to sources, the deal fell through because the owners didn't hear about the deal:

NBA spokesman Mike Bass says: "It's not true that the owners killed the deal, the deal was never discussed at the Board of Governors meeting and the league office declined to make the trade for basketball reasons."

I highly doubt that this is the whole truth because it could've been brought out before the official free agency opening tomorrow. I feel that there is another reason why this trade got snipped, but who knows if it'll ever come out. All I can say is, Rondo isn't off the hook yet.

AWKWARRRRRRD

So basically, Bobby V and Francona switched jobs....so that's a bit awkward

Still On Chris Paul?

Supposedly, now We are signing and trading Jeff Green, Rajon Rondo and two first round picks for Paul. Also Avery Bradley is also in the mix. (This would be a four team trade.)

This is crazy!..it may be crazy enough to work. Being a homer, I don't want to see Rondo go, but it would be great if Danny could pull this off. Think about it. Bring in CP3 to play with the BIG 3 and hopefully win a title. If all goes well, we raise 18. Then, clear up cap room because KG and Ray's contracts will be up. Who do you give that money too? With the help of Paul, Dwight Howard. He will enrich himself here in the culture and the tradition. If he likes it, he'll convince Dwight to come and then the C'S build around them two and Pierce until he retires. (Possibly KG and Ray if they sign extensions for less) With the right bench this year they can win if they get help..CP3 could be that help. But do you really want to see this happen?

My take on it is still the same. It's not going to work. Rondo will be in green this season!

Where Johnny Damon Needs to Keep His Mouth Shut

Once known as the face of the franchise, Johnny Damon is now corrupting it. Johnny was seen playing in David Ortiz's golf tourney down in la'dominicano (Tried to be Fancy) Republic. He was also caught telling David Ortiz that he should go to the Bronx and take advantage of the short porch:

"Sign with the Yankees and take advantage of that right-field porch at Yankee Stadium."

Then, he decided to say this:

“Shoot, I was trying to tell him if he went to New York his 30 home runs turns into 40,’’ Damon said. “He still has a great chance to win. I’m happy I got to experience both sides [of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry]. Both sides were very incredible for me."

Johnny...please shut up. Just because you were a greedy ass who wanted the money, doesn't mean that's David Ortiz. So, telling him that the short porch is the reason he should go his horse-shit. He goes where he wants and he has already stated he would love to return to the city of champs. Just because you were as ass and left, doesn't mean you can rub off on anybody else.

UPDATE! ONLY A SCENARIO!: Chris Paul and Trevor Ariza to Boston; Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley and Emeka Okafor to Indiana; Brandon Rush, Darren Collison, Paul George, Roy Hibbert, Glen Davis and Boston's first-round pick in 2012 to New Orleans. (courtesy Reds Army and John Hollinger)

There has been talks about trading Rondo, not trading Rondo, and I still say don't do it. Rondo is still young and his shot will develop more. Yes, I'm being a fan, but I do believe Rondo is still the better option. He has proven himself in the playoffs and has a ring. I'd take that any day of the week. And besides, Paul already said he would NOT sign the extension if traded here. We'd have him for this shortened season and that's it. Not really worth losing Rondo for good in my opinion.

Would it Happen?

Danny Ainge has reportedly stated that he isn't "Shopping" Rondo, but will listen to offers and consider it for the right deal.

I say, don't make the Perkins mistake again..but it could work.

Rondo is still young and he still has room to develop..aka free throws and jump shot. He is quick, pesky on defense, and is one of the best passers in the league. There has been talks that Chris Paul would be a good fit here...would you trade Rondo and maybe Baby for him?

CP3 is a scorer and that's what the Celtics need. He will help take the load of the Big 3, mainly Paul, and that would open up the lanes for the other starters. He is a much better shooter than Rondo and brings another veteran presence to the locker room...adding to the big 3 and possibly Chandler. I see Danny making this move only if he is thinking offense in the future. If you don't make the trade, then in a few years all we have is Bradley Rondo, and Green as a core. There won't be any scoring..except hopefully Green. Bringing in Paul can guarantee more offense and still have a solid defender at the point.

I think that it's a longshot and ultimately if Paul leaves New Orleans, it may be to go play in the land of idiots (LA). But who knows, crazier things have happend during the offseason...(summer "07)

Bringing in a Champ?

Tyson Chandler could be wearing Green? I like it. Here's why:

Now, see all those alley-oops..imagine all that coming from Rondo! And I like his intensity. He's not afraid to get aggressive and get physical..will fit right in with crazy KG.

Basketballlll!

Man has it been a crazy semester so I apologize for not blogging as much as I could have. But enough of the sappy stuff..lets talk...yes it's true...CELTICS!!

The NBA and its players have reached a tentative agreement to start the season on Dec. 25TH, Christmas Day, with free agency and training camp beginning on December 9TH. This gives little time for the free agency period and in case you missed it, the C's are in need of some bodies. As of now, the roster is filled with the big 4, Jermaine O'Neal, and Avery Bradley. We can assume that Jeff Green will be resigned along with the two rookies JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore.
Now, my main concern, like most, is the Center position. Since we no longer have...well you know...and with Shaq's retirement we are left with half a body in Jermaine. Even with a short 66 game schedule, he will not be able to last an entire season. Danny needs to get someone to back him up, but also be capable of starting if anything was to happen. Tyson Chandler, Jason Collins, and Samuel Dalembert are the top 3 free agents for me. I like Chandler the most because he is a proven veteran, coming of a title with Dallas, who can come in and get the job done. He shot 58.2% from the field in the playoffs with an 8 point average.
If we were going to go and get a PF, my list would consist of Glen Davis (yes he's a free agent) Leon Powe, Joe Smith and Andre Kirilenko. If we were to sign one of these I'd choose Leon. He knows the system, good friends with the team, and can play the power forward and center position. I know what you're thinking, why not Baby? He is a good choice, but I would like to see them maybe sign and trade him to possibly get another big man or a backup for Rondo besides Bradley (if not Delonte).

Either way it's good be talking about this again and you will be hearing from me soon for what Danny does. For now I'll leave you with "UBUNTU" and this:

and this...

HAPPY BASKETBALL

2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!

I'm going to say I was one of the doubters of the B's chances this year...man was I wrong! The way these men skated and played tonight proved that...one USA OVER CANADA!, and two that they knew that this was their time to shine and they took full advantage of it.

Congratulations to the Boston Bruins organization and mostly it's players for bring the CUP back to the hub! Beantown is a championship haven, and the Boston Bruins have just reclaimed their position as part of a winning town. Congrats again and also congrats to Mark Recchi for an incredible career and thank you so much for helping bring one to Boston!

Justice Being Served Process has Begun!

Chicago 103 Miami 82....GOTTA LOVE THIS!

Chicago ran all over Miami in the second half to take a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Wade and Lebron had terrible games..and you know it was a bad day for Miami when Bosh was their leading scorer...ha..hahaha!

Rose signified him as probably the best player in the league with a magnificent night going 10-22 with 28 points and 6 assists. I said from the start that chicago will win this series if Rose shows up..and it looks like he has.

Game 2 is Wednesday night at 8:00PM on TNT.

SWEEEEP!

The red sox beat the yanks last night 7-5 to complete a three game sweep of the the bombers in NY. This is only the 3rd time the sox have swept the yanks in NY. The other times were in 2004 and 1999.

I'm not going to say much here because it speaks for itself, but I will say:

1. Jorge Posada needs to grow up

2. Gonzo was definitely MVP of this series

3. Yooouk looked in his prime form last night in the series finally and

4. THE SOX ARE AT .500!!!

Is this the Year?

Tim Thomas Tim Thomas #30 of the Boston Bruins looks on against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center on December 23, 2008 in Newark, New Jersey. The Bruins defeated the Devils 2-0. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images) *** Local Caption *** Tim Thomas

1972. Most Boston sports fans know this as the last time the Bruins brought home the Stanley Cup. Since then, the team has had its highs and lows leading up to this monumental year. All season the bruins have been back and forth with injuries, bad stretches, and good stretches, but this playoff run could become history.
After last season ending the way it did a lot of fans were not sure if the Bs could get that out of their heads this year. Man were we wrong. Since the deadline and our beneficial trade, the B's have pushed and not looked back. So we had to assume that it was only fate when they met the Flyers in a rematch of last years Eastern Conference semis. Just like last year they went up 3-0, but this time we were going for the clinch at home. This was not the only big difference from last year that let me know that history was not going to repeat..so here they are:

1. Goaltending..no question here this is the most important. Tim Thomas in net like this last year would've made a huge difference...maybe looking for a repeat this year..but who knows.

2. Physically we are a stronger team than last year and we have let every team in the league know it..just ask those Bozos from up north.

3. Mentally the players who were here last year were NOT going to let it happen again. They were determined to squash the flyers before they could even catch flight...and they did just that starting with a 7-3 game 1 win.

and finalllyyy...

4. It just feels right ya know? This year has a special feel to it that some in the past just haven't. Yes last year did have a little spark but I think it's still not the same as now. I believe that it all started at the deadline when we acquired Kaberle, Peverley, and Kelly (Along with some other small pieces).

Also I like the Bruins against Tampa because we are more physical then them AND can score. Yes, the lightning are very quick, but we have some quickness to us and Chara and the defense are just going to smother and attack anyone who comes near them.
With all this I still expect this series will come down to goaltending in Tim Thomas and Dwayne Roloson. I with out a doubt give Thomas the edge, hopefully Vesna Trophy winner, and this is why I'm picking the Bruins to win the series in 6.

I'm notsitting here and saying they're going to win...but I can say I do like how it looks.

Mavs Spring Cleaning

The lakers do not get there 3 peat opportunity..even more importantly they don't  get the opportunity to tie the C's all time championship record of 17!

Today the Dallas Mavericks did a little spring cleaning and swept up the Lakers to advance to the Western Conference finals where they will face either the Memphis Grizzlies or the OKC Oklahoma City Thunder. Their series is 2-1 in favor of Memphis (They are a whole other shock and awe of the playoffs).

The mavs were sensational all series, but today it was record breaking. Jason Terry came of the bench with 11-14 shooting with 32 points. 9-10 from beyond the arc. His nine threes contributed to the Mavs 20 on the game. Terry tied Ray Allen's playoff record for most threes in a playoff game and the Mavs tied a record with those 20.

As for the Lakes...ewww is the best way to describe their performance. Oh and don't even get me started on Bynum and Odom, what idiots have some class why don't you. Both being ejected with their flagrant 2 fouls show that they were, and will always be, sore losers.

This Disgusts me:

Let's end on a happier note shall we!

It's been too Long

Hello everyone It has been a long time since I've posted but I'm back!

R-O-N-D-O! Rondo is all I have to say. Last night when D-Wade was a poor loser and realized that the only way he could keep up with rondo was to take him out of the game, I almost went into shock. Rondo surprised everyone and came out and played with ONE ARM! Not literally of course. His injury could not side line him as he came back and helped the c's inch closer making the series 2-1.

Let me just say this..D-Wade knows what is coming. As the game progressed fear struck into him as he had to of realized that they unleashed, and severely pissed off, the beasts of the east. My prediction with this series was celtics in 7 and I strongly hold that. However they NEED to win tomorrow night in Game 4! It would be a major set back going back to Miami down 3-1.

Plus they cant give those bastards the opportunity to clinch on home court...not okay!

The MRI on Rondo came back today which means at worst it's a dislocation.
With this kind of injury he's supposed to leave it in a sling for 6 weeks and not move it, then get surgery. Not Rondo. There are reports that Doc and Rondo have to agreed to most likely let him play tomorrow night. I don't know how but I don't care. The C's need Rondo and there is no secret to that!

Oh and I really love this picture..but who wouldnt:

Celtics Win 107-97

Rondoooooooooooo... that is all! Rondo came up big when they needed him too plain and simple. He became a scorer tonight and took over the game.

KG was stroking it tonight. He went 9-11 from the field and hit 4 in a row at the end to help seal the big win down in TX.

Side note: Kristic did not return with a knee injury from the 2nd quarter and they said it did not look good. Not ACL but mide sideline him until playoffs....Where is Shaq when ya need him

Halftime

After one half the c's are tied to the San Antonio Spurs at 49. I honestly don't know howwww. The only good thing i've seen is J.O'neal coming back. The issue that i've had with the team tonight is they are just playing lazy. Rondo needs to set the pace and he isn't doing that. He is 5 for 11 with 10 points. He needs to push the floor and find the shooters...Ray..in transition. Ray is currently 0 for 4 with 2 points (from the line). Sugar Ray as been shooting poor as of late and he needs to get it together by the postseason.

Kristic went out with a knee injury. It buckled when he came down on it wrong going for a rebound the ball. Hopefully it's not to serious because the c's cannot afford another big man being out this time of the year.

P.S Shaq hopeful for Tuesday vs. Philly....yeah right

Just love the Song

I love this song and I just wanted to share! Enjoy!!

A Win is a Win

Yes there are some teams that the Celtics should be beating no problem. Considering that the Celtics pretty much have one of the easiest schedules left in te NBA. Either way, however, as long as they are putting more w's in the win column then it doesn't really matter to me.

Anytime all the national broadcasters try to analyze a close game with a bad team they try to tell you that the team is not good anymore because they almost lost. This is complete bull! Teams are allowed to have some tough games along the way. I'd like to see some of these broadcasters..the ones who didn't play...try to go through an NBA season

The good teams are the ones that win the games no matter what the situation...so a good example is probably the complete opposite of the Miami Heat. Sorry Lebron it's true.

Arroyo Signing

Photo

IT IS A GOOD PICKUP!

Carlos Arroyo was signed by the Green on March 5 and it makes a lot of sense to me for a few reasons:

1) We needed another guard while Delonte is still out, and when he's back Arroyo just adds more depth to the back court and doesn't force Doc to play Bradley a lot.

2) Bradley isn't ready. He doesn't have the NBA instinct yet to run an offense in the Playoffs when Rondo isn't on the floor.

3) Arroyo can be a spark plug. He can penetrate the defense and get our shooters their shots. He is also capable of making his shot when given it.

4) He knows how to lead..even if it is by example. When he played for Puerto Rico he led his team to a 92-73 win over the United States..their first defeat since Professionals were allowed to play. He has the leadership skills to lead that team to a victory over states..he can run an NBA offense in the post season when needed...end of story!

Arroyo won't see many minutes once Delonte comes back.. he will be the 3rd option...but he might see some time with Rondo and him at the 2 spot. Or even Arroyo and Delonte running the show to given Rondo some rest in the middle of games. Either way, Arroyo will be useful and definitely fits.

Good So Far!

Th trade deadline has come and gone and it's given us all time to settle down about all these hectic trades. So far it's looking pretty good. Kristic has been doing well with with starters and Jeff Green has been playing well coming off the bench as the 6th man ( Due to Baby's injury).

These guys will need to maintain this performance until the o'neals are healthy once more....so probably at least until playoffs. Shaq was supposed to play on Wednesday last week but they kept him out due to his previous foot injuries flaring up at practice. In other injury news, Delonte is healing from his sprained ankle and should not be out much longer.

Another notable is Avery Bradley. He is getting some extra minutes due to injuries and he is playing well. He has been able to get to the basket and score some points, and has played some pretty solid perimeter defense. He is shaping up be a good player

Murphy Signs!

Troy Murphy is the newest member of the green! He has signed after much debate between Miami or Boston...wise choice Troy. Banner 18 is a step closer!

If not Troy then Who?

Troy Murphy seems like the logical signing during this buy out period of the season. The 6'11 big man was bought out my Golden state and is torn whether to join Wade and the heat in south beach or ship up to Boston....Troy come on...Miami?

if Troy does decide to go play in south beach who would the celts go for? Leon Powe is still in discussion and rumor is he does want to come back. He wishes he didn't have to leave and he thinks that he can come and help the team because he knows the system already. In my opinion, this is a no brainer for Danny..get it done!

Another name that has just come up is Corey Brewer who was bought out by New York. I think he would be a decent fit. He would be here mainly for his perimeter defense..like a Tony Allen...to provide solid D when Paul needs his rest. However, he can score too; Just don't expect a double double from him every night.

Out of all the rumors Murphy still is the top choice..considering he is the reason Perk is no longer with us...

I must had too, Perk just doesn't look right in that Thunder Uniform..r.i.p Perk we love you

Ummm..okay

That was a long day yesterday! After hearing that Danny traded away half our team little by little, I was shell shocked! Now that i've had a day to process and really think about it, I like the Perk deal. Yess he was a great contributor and was a wall on D, but we might've have lost him for nothing at the end of the season anyway. Perk wanted $30 million over four years...we only were offering $22 million.

With Perk, you have a guy with knee problems and, in my opinion, played his best by KG's side. They don't have some one like that for him in OKC so we will really see what Perk is made of. On the other hand, Jeff Green, who is still young as well, comes in athletic, in shape, healthy and now having the opportunity to play next to KG! KG will bring out the best of Green and I believe that Green will fit right into our system.

About the Semih and Luke trade...Danny better be going after Troy Murphy. It seems like the c's will be acquiring him soon but no news yet. Adding a body like Murphy would fill the empty space of Semih and really be the only thing that would make sense of why we dealt Semih and Luke in the first place.

Oh and Marquis..we didn't get anything for him but it makes sense considering his career could be over

Also reports say that Leon Powe...yes that Powe...is also in discussions...that would be fun!

AHHHHHH! PERKKKKKK!!!!!!

you're crazyyyy! So apparently we just traded Perk to the Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic! I don't know even know who kristic is! I think i'm going to be puzzled about this one for awhileee!

Perkins was a wall down low for our defense and we was our certified Dwight stopper. I don't know if Danny did this because of his injury problem and think that he won't fully recover...if that's the case he's probably wrong. Danny must have had a great reason to trade him because Perk was loved here in Boston.

PERK= =(

Deal Marquis??

So today is trade deadline day! The boys of green have been furiously trying to get a deal done to get a forward to back up Paul. Since using Nate as bate isn't working out, the latest news is that the c's are going to use Daniels' contract and get Anthony Parker from the Cavs, and eventually have the Cavs buy out his contract and then he can come back to Boston.

Personally, I like this deal if Cleveland will hold up their end of the bargain and buy out Marquis. The cavs claim that they will go along with it if they get our first round draft pick.

I think Parker is a good solid player and would be good for the rest of this year to fill the whole from Daniels needing surgery.

Also some side trades, Baron Davis and a first round draft pick were traded to Cleveland for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon.

Also, the Atlanta Haws received Kirk Hinrich for Mike Bibby and Jordan Crawford( A few other players were involved).

He's Backkkk!

Enough said..the man is playinggg once more!

Expect post about game!

FINALLY!

He went to NY, this doesn't mean anything for this year anyway. Yes, the Knicks landed Melo, Chauncy, and some other small players, but they lost half their bench, including Danilo Gallinari who was huggeee for them.  I think it'll make them better in the next few years but not for the rest of the year..BANNER 18 IS STILL COMING TO BOSTON!

Now that that's over With!

The big show is over! Kobe gets the MVP unfortunately and my man Blake brings home the slam dunk! Unfortunately, neither Paul or Ray Ray were able to bring home the 3 point title but still a good weekend overall! Obviously the game was a lack of defense event.. like always, but it was nice to actually see the players care and try hard in the second half.

I also liked...hoped you celtics fans noticed it...that Doc made sure our big 4 didn't play many minutes at all! I believe KG played around 4 minutes! Oh yeah and wade hurt himself...shit happens

I also want to share my favorite moment of this weekend with you..and im sure you all know what it is...BLAKEEEE!

What a Night!

1. Celtics end with a win before the all star break-success
2. Lakers lose to the once good...now absolutely terrible Cleveland Cavaliers

Tonight was a success in my eyes. With the green winning and the gaudy purple and yellow losing, us fans here in Boston have to be going to bed with all happy thoughts..that is until the alarm clock in the morning.

Ahhh Spring is in the air...in Ft. Myers that is

Red Sox Nation is starting to spur as the sox report to Ft. Myers this week! Pitchers and catchers reported on the day of love, the 14th, and the position players are expected to all be there by the 18th. Some players have reported, such as newcomer Adrian Gonzalez, who is expected to be the cleanup hitter/gold glove first baseman for the team this summer.

This season is going to be something special; I can just feel it in the air. After main off season signings of Carl Crawford and Gonzo, the team's offense is the deepest it's been in years. I mean when you potentially have one of the best, and most clutch hitters in baseball in Big PAPI hitting 6th or 7th, you know they did something write to fix this line up.

Yes, the offense has been improved, but that was never the issue last year. Last year the team hit for a total avg. of .268 with a .339 OBP and a .451 slugging percentage.   And that was with key injures such as Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis out for a lot of the summer. The issue was the lack of a bullpen and the inconsistent pitching from the starters..Josh Beckett in particular.

As the starters look to have a bounce back year, and Beckett promising that last season was a fluke and he will be on his game this season, the bullpen is the thing that everyone is watching. The main Bullpen acquisition this winter was that of Bobby Jenks. Jenks has been the closer for the White Sox since 2005 and has proved himself in the M LB with a career 173 saves(About 36 a season). That's not my reason however. I think Jenks will become our closer next season. Papelbon will probably leave after his last season this year, and Bard is just not ready yet. Jenks and Bard should split the set up time this year to get Jenks into the normal rotation. Other key bullpen acquisitions include: Dan Wheeler and Felix Doubront.

With Spring Training just days away from being in full swing, this is what I see right now as the lineup being for opening day(check back for updates right up until opening day):

1. Jacoby Ellsbury
2.Carl Crawford
3. Dustin Pedroia
4. Adrian Gonzalez
5. Kevin Youuuukilis
6. David Ortiz
7. J.D Drew
8. Jarrod Saltalamacchia/V-Tek
9. Marco Scutaro/Jed Lowrie

As the All Star Weekend Approaches....

Since I am a Celtics fanatic I figure why not make my first real post one about the boys in green. As the all star break approaches the celtics are looking to hobble into the break with a win over New Jersey on Wednesday night. I like that we have them as our last game because it should give our startes a good rest considering they’re going to be playing in the game on Sunday as the best all star bench ever assembled.
It’s no question that injuries have plagued the celtics for a while now. Our biggest key injury right now, i believe, is Delonte. Once he comes back from his broken wrist you now have a true point guard to back up Rondo instead of Nate acting like he can handle the ball. Nate is a pure shooter, a 2 guard, and with West in the lineup it allows him to run off screens and get open without the ball like him and his little powerful black legs were meant to do. Besides that, Shaq coming back is vital as well.
The celtics with a win on Wednesday will go into the break with a 40-14 record and 1st place atop the Eastern Conference. The Heat will of course finish behind them.

Welcome!
